Paranoia and Google

Thursday this week The Independent newspaper rolled out the eye grabbing headline "Google Is Watching You" - full article here. The Guardian follows on Friday with the observation that the advent of television had its own associated Orwellian fears and that if we could watch television, perhaps television could be employed to watch us?
